Golden Sun” Demonstration Project---Baosteel 50MW Rooftop Solar PV Project (Phase 1)

The Baosteel project with total installed capacity 50MW was approved as “Golden Sun” demonstration project in China. Located in the roofs of 13 workshops of Shanghai Baosteel Company, it uses polycrystalline modules and fixed angle installation, and connects 10KV directly to the user side grid. After the project is completed, it is estimated that it will generate 50 million KWH annually for the consumption of Baosteel and will help save 20000 tons of standard coal, cut down 52000 tons of CO2 emission, reduce 440 tons of SO2 emission, decrease 200 tons of NOx emission and cut 340 tons of dust discharge yearly. It makes a great contribution to the economy, society and the environment protection.

The project is invested by Beijing Guofa Huaqi Energy Saving Co., Ltd. and is carried out in Energy Management Contract mode. CECEP Oasis won the bid of 10MW EPC which is estimated to complete and to connect to the grid in May 2013 for acceptance check.
