Grid-tied Solar Power Project

Photovoltaic (PV) is a method of generating electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct current electricity using semiconductors that exhibit the photovoltaic effect. The electricity is connected to the utility grid or user-side grid after converting, boosting & varying voltage. The electricity could be either all paralleled in utility grid or after consumed by the user-side grid connected to the utility grid.
As one of the countries with richest solar energy resources in the world, the solar radiation amount in China is between.3.3103 ~ 8.4106 kJ / m. 2/3 of the areas in China enjoy more than 2000 hours of annual sunshine duration. Among the provinces, Tibet, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia plateau are solar energy resource rich areas in the world towards the total solar radiation and sunshine duration. Solar energy development poses an important influence on optimizing the energy structure of our country, protecting the ecological environment, promoting economic and social sustainable development. The vast region in western area is suit for exploitation and utilization of the centralized solar project; in the Eastern area, the distributed photovoltaic power generation will be the focus of future development due to the limit of the environmental condition.
Since 2008, at the support of the national Ministry of finance, the Bureau of energy, Ministry of science and technology, Ministry of construction, national development and Reform Commission and other ministries, the following policies are adopted to guide the domestic solar market to develop healthily and fast: "solar building integration", "golden sun demonstration project", "large-scale grid connected photovoltaic project bidding", "distributed solar power generation". In 2012, the newly installed capacity in domestic market has been more than 3 GW. The State Council released the latest "several opinions on promoting the healthy development of photovoltaic industry" (Guo Fa [2013] 24) which points out that from 2013 to 2015, the average annual s installed capacity of solar power generation will be 10000000 KW; the total installed capacity will reach 35000000 KW and above until 2015, the future development prospects are very broad.
