CCE Oasis and ShouGang Cold Rolled Company jointly boost the Capital city clean energy construction

In the morning of February 10, 2017, the CCE Oasis invested 8.3 MW rooftop distributed PV project of ShouGang Cold Rolled Company was officially launched, and the launching ceremony was held in Shunyi, Beijing. The two parties jointly signed the relevant agreements. CCE Oasis President Dai Cunfeng, ShouGang Corporation Deputy General Manager Wei Guoyou and ShouGang Cold Rolled Company General Manager Yu Wei co-started the project! Relevant departments’ heads of Beijing and Shunyi District attended the meeting and gave a high degree of recognition to the positive significance of the project’s energy-saving emission reduction and low-carbon environmental protection.

The project is located in Beijing ShouGang cold-rolled sheet Co., Ltd. in Shunyi District, and is currently one of the largest single rooftop distributed solar photovoltaic projects in Beijing. It is expected to be completed in the first half year of 2017 and will contribute to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei fog and haze management.
 

 
Walking into the factory, we can see rows of blue workshop, which is ShouGang cold-rolled company’s high-end green car plate production base. "100,000 square meters of factory and office roof will be immediately installed with solar PV modules." said ShouGang Cold Rolled Company Deputy General Manager Sun Guisuo. This project uses the existing cold rolled plant roof’s free space resources, with the operation period of 25 years. After the completion, the annual production will be 8,199,900 degrees of clean and reliable high-quality photovoltaic "green electricity", which means saving about 3276.36 tons of standard coal per year, reducing about 8166.33 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, about 245.73 tons of sulfur dioxide, about 122.86 tons of nitrogen oxides and 2227.93 tons of dust.
 
Sun Guisuo also introduced that the photovoltaic power generation project could supplement ShouGang Cold Rolled Company nearly 10% of electricity consumption. The project’s partial power is supplied to the plant on a more favorable price to meet the lighting and office use; in the factory shutdown maintenance, part of the electricity will be uploaded and sold to the local grid. He said that with the application of photovoltaic power generation, the plant can reduce carbon emissions quotas and power generation costs, which can save about three million Yuan each year. The indirect benefits of photovoltaic power generation include reducing the cost of indoor HVAC energy consumption, maintaining room temperature, lowering roof maintenance costs and extending the life of the roof waterproof layer. In order to create a more green energy-saving cold-rolled production base, Shougang cold rolled company will also plan to set up solar car sheds, solar water heaters and other facilities in the plant.

 
In the meeting, CCE Oasis President Dai Cunfeng stated that the company had invested and participated in the construction of a series of photovoltaic power generation projects in Beijing, such as the Beijing-based electromechanical photovoltaic roof projects in five districts in Beijing, as well as the city's 53 "Sunshine Campus" photovoltaic roof project, Yanqi Lake APEC International Convention and Exhibition Center intelligent micro-grid project, Tongzhou District deputy administrative centre photovoltaic roof project. Beijing is located in the middle of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, so it is important to develop clean energy to transform the regional energy and cope with the environmental challenges. According to the Beijing “13th Five-Year period” renewable energy planning, by 2020, Beijing's new energy and renewable energy power generation installed capacity would reach 200 million kilowatts, accounting for about 15% of the proportion of the city's power installed capacity, of which the new photovoltaic power generation installed capacity would reach 1 million kilowatts. At the same time, the new power construction is based on new energy and renewable energy, and the new power gives priority to the use of green power. In addition, it will accelerate the application of distributed photovoltaic in various fields, implement the five major sunshine projects: "sunshine campus, sunshine business, sunshine industry, sunshine agriculture and sunshine infrastructure" and focus on the construction of demonstration zones of photovoltaic centralized application in Shunyi, Haidian and Yizhuang.
